as in not just mild and then gone. I only read it once and may not be true or not that often, but maybe just keep in mind in case.

Reported he was putting so much tabasco sauce on things that he was sneezing his head off, but couldn't taste it. Had no other symptoms though, and recovered in the normal 2-week or so time span. (This was the original variant early /--last-year--/ in 2020.)

This all came out after a couple of months working at home when none of us saw one another, and at that time you couldn't get a Covid test unless you were half dead with a fever. I was the one who got to tell him he had probably had Covid. I myself had joint pain but no other symptoms, and two other employees had more classic symptoms but not bad enough to hospitalize them. We had all been exposed to one of the first 100 people in Louisiana who did test positive when he was hospitalized for pneumonia, which was why they disinfected our building and we worked from home for a couple of months.

before treatments included anything more than supportive care. A friend was miserable with joint pains that first spring and wondered why he was the only one with the flu.

They do have Pfizer pills now, that one can take at home. I know there was a shortage of them, but maybe now one can get them, since there are less cases.

Here is an article of anti-covid pills.

"As more supply becomes available, more people — especially those at higher risk — can live "a somewhat normal life without utmost fear of death, should they contract Covid," said Dr. David Boulware, an infectious disease physician at the University of Minnesota Medical School."

Sore throat, though sounds like yours is worse than mine was. A lot of sneezing and occasional cough so it wasn't that bad. But, and this sucks, it's been three weeks and I still can't taste anything. I'm afraid this is going to be permanent.

to get back sense of smell and taste. Such as smelling four essential oils every day:

I also read that for some it may take a year to get your taste back but most do. I'm hoping.

Ate things I could swallow and reminded myself what it was and imagined it. Then after a while just forced food I knew I use to like, doing the same thing.

Also taking deeps smells even if it smells bad, it is only that way at first when inhaling then I could make out the the real smell I remembered.

It took 11 months to get almost back to normal. My smeller isn’t as good as it once was.

Tbh don’t know if what I did helped or it was just time.

Feel better💕

In December 2021, the FDA granted emergency use authorization (EUA) to two new antiviral pills
to treat mild to moderate COVID-19 in people at high risk of developing severe illness. The pills
are called Paxlovid (nirmatrelvir and ritonavir) and molnupiravir.
The antiviral pills represent an advance over current antiviral therapy because they are cheaper,
more convenient, and less invasive than intravenous (IV) therapy with monoclonal antibodies. But
use is highly restricted, and you need to start taking the pills early in the diagnosis to get the
benefit of a lower risk of hospitalization and death.
The COVID-19 pills are in short supply in some areas, while other areas may have plenty in stock.
More courses of molnupiravir have been delivered to states than Paxlovid so far. Eligible patients
can receive the treatment free of charge during the public health emergency.
