And who died of starvation by the multiple millions under Stalin’s horrific forced agricultural industrialization policies. Whose soils were polluted and compacted by Soviet bureaucrats who knew nothing about farming forcing these highly knowledgeable people to drive tractors out into fields against their will in the rain, and all sorts of other utterly crazy disastrous policies.

People in the US who just shrug and say that Ukraine is not our problem are so wrong. Unless he is slapped down now, he will just continue his aggression, trying to gobble up countries just as Hitler did. His actions could very well lead to another world war, and US troops would moat likely be fighting once again to protect democracy and the freedom of a people to choose its own government.

That Putin is willing to waste thousands of lives to feed his ego is just so reprehensible. I wish the people of Ukraine safety and much help from the US and other European countries with the tanks, missiles, and munitions needed to fight off this insane invasion. I truly want to see Putin humiliated over this, though that is unlikely.

We can pray as the prayer circle in Kharkiv did this morning just as daylight broke. A group of 8-10 women kneeling in the public square on the cold stones. Paying for peace, their country and fellow countrymen and women.
