7. Yes. Means the Russians have a strong defensive position, can repel attacks from any direction.

And they are holding the perimeter. So yes they have control of the airport.

They can start bringing in supplies, launch air attacks, and bring in special op troops, light tanks and trucks, etc.

5. "Taken the airport" usually means there is control of the airport by the enemy.

There may be some mop up action, but the target is under enemy control.

And will be used to ferry in supplies and armored equipment.
