This could have been avoided had we dealt with this in March when Putin first began amassing troops on the border. Putin doesn't want a war with the United States, we could have encouraged NATO troops to support under the agreements that were made, and we should have put troops in Ukraine because of the treaty that we signed a decade ago when we asked Ukraine to get rid of all of their weapons, tanks, and fighter jets.
