(22,767 posts)The point is a psychological and political one. Another way to keep unrest among the Russian people as a whole over his actions to as low as possible.
Even here, for two decades there was a ban on photographers being permitted to document the return of our own war dead at Dover AFB for political reasons:

There's a video of a prototype being demonstrated in Belarus from that time, which I assume is what the Defense Ministry is referencing. I can't find any reference to actual field use, though.
