There is a segment of our country's population filled with so much hate, so much drive to blame for the 'other', and such a thick desire to "own the libs", and we know they are armed. These are the people who scream "what about my guns" after a mass shooting. They are not rational, they will see an invader as a liberator, liberating them from the "woke tyranny" of it now being a norm of treating people different from you how you'd like to be treated. The question at this point is what are their numbers and if there are people in positions in authority who would be receptive to such an offer.
