Putin does not care in the least about the citizens. I have seen many people on MSNBC and CNN say that Putin will cause his people to suffer hardships, which he himself won't even recognize. He does 't care what the Russian citizens think about him. He apparently is out of touch with a lot of info (his own doing). He doesn't look at TV coverage, media reports, social media, etc for any info. He cut them all off. He is basically doing what ever the hell he wants with indifference to his military and financial leaders' input.
