The city of Sumy

scene of a lot of heavy fighting yesterday. It has at least 25 live webcams scattered around the city, linked here. https://www.youtube.com/c/SumyWebcams It's a a little before 9 AM. The streets are quiet, but a few people and cars are moving around. The buses are running. The electricity is on. I've looked at most of the live feeds and I don't see any damage. This is the damndest war I've ever seen. I know fighting is going on but it seems to be in very limited locations.

The panel said that the hardened troops will be coming in the next wave with heavy equipment for maximum damage. I suspect that Putin is irritated beyond words. His glorious blitzkrieg has been ruined by the Ukrainians.

Also listened to Malcolm Nance this evening. Putin and his cronies were boasting they would take the country in a week. Nance said he's travelled all over the country and there's no way anyone would take Ukraine in a week. Not Putin, not anybody. The country's too large and the citizenry is fighting for their lives, their families, their future. They know what freedom is and they know what Putin is.

This is going to be a bloody slog bc there's no indication that Ukraine is going to go easily into that good night.
