My heart is gladdened by the videos of all the protests against Putin and the invasion.

On the other hand, I am saddened by the thoughts of what might happen to these brave souls.

Hoping and praying for their safety and eventual success against the Putin regime.

3. There were large protests

in 53 cities in Russia. FIFTY-THREE CITIES. Let that one sink it for awhile. The jails will be full. People will not be at work if they arrest all of them. Things could fall apart if that happens. There are still memories of WWII and more recently, Afghanistan, among the Russian people. Do you think they want that again?

4. Futures markets; stocks, oil, gold, - do not seem very upset by putin/invasions.

Gold, the troubled times investment, gold spot got a lot of publicity yesterday for being up sharply - but gold down a bunch today.

So, longer term, at least from the markets perspective, - seems that putin not nearly as formidable as instant media makes putin seem.

6. Being pumped up by those with the most to lose. The bubble will burst soon though.

Being pumped up until the 1% can move their money into safe harbors.

If there were a global collective for peace, I bet the peace-seekers would outnumber the war-mongers by several billion.

I'd like to think humanity has evolved and learned from history's mistakes... call me a dreamer!
