Growing up in the 50's & 60's republicans knew right from wrong for the most part, not so today.
When one party today is divided over truth, our whole country is in trouble.

Walter Cronkite, Huntley/Brinkley, PBS, the local newspaper, etc. so we could pretty much agree on the definition of "reality." Now there is so much fking junk news out there and half of it is propaganda so what the truth is becomes harder to define.

I grew up in the late 60's, I stared at the TV with the causality counts of Vietnam, the loss of wonderful national heroes and followed the impeachment hearings of Nixon. I stuffed envelops for McGovern at age 10, I also sat with and watched as my mother spoke on equal education for girls to the Arizona State Legislature. I was brought up to be an informed and active member of our government.

As a college graduate I lived through Reagan's destruction of our educational structure, the elimination of infrastructure for our less fortunate citizens as well as expanding the chasm between rich and poor..... but, he appointed our first Woman Supreme court Justice. There is a human aspect to the spectrum of good vs evil.

Being through the GW terms of Cheney, surviving the abuse of Obama's scrutiny my naivete was finally dissipated with the divisive Orange one. I never felt ashamed of my country and my fellow citizens until the the selfish power of money showed the schismatic separation of idealism and reality.

But, I Never acted on hate.... it is not helpful or therapeutic. The republican leadership is NOT leading for solution or productivity. Argue with the opposite of hate and focus on the good that is at our core.

I found it traumatic to listen or watch the president get scrutinized for a tan suit, birth certificate BS, obstruction given to him because the gray haired white guys could get away saying it out loud.
