big ditches and mines. Bazookas work pretty well most of the time, too, 'specially if the tank isn't armored all that well.
But, for civilian defense, the old fashioned toothy tank trap will do OK slowing them down.

AdmIttedly, wartime traps would be made of steel, not 2X4s, and would be a lot harder to crush. I posted the video largely as a sarcastic hit on our gun nuts.
