Trump loves Putin.

They love Trump.

Therefore, they love Putin.

Add to that the most important thing in the world for the QOP... Hate. A few months ago, I actually saw someone (elsewhere, obviously not here) say they admire Putin. "He's a real leader. The kind of leader we need. He doesn't take any shit from fucking *slur for Blacks* or *slur for transgenders*! America would be better off if we had Putin!"

Since they can't have Hitler (and haven't been able to since 1945), well, they want the next best (and living) thing... That would be Putin.

Russian psyops made pretty big inroads with Talibangelicals, and they make up a significant chunk of the Republican voter base. I also suspect there's a fair bit of kompromat on some elected officials. Wasn't the RNC hacked around the same time as the DNC, yet nothing was leaked? That would be because it's being used as leverage.
