Would anything compel EU NATO to intervene militarily?

What if Russia gets frustrated with their first wave pace, can't take Kiev, and just starts indiscriminately shelling or bombing it and other major cities? That is what a couple of analysts have said it looks like what they are setting up for.

Imagine Sarajevo when it was being bombed and snipered, that was a much smaller scale. That was also a disillusion of a country Yugoslavia. The images of that have freaked out people for years. Now we have Russia attacking a independent nation with the intention of destroying its government and installing a new one. That hasn't happened in Europe in 75 or so years.

I can see the Ukraine military going asymmetrical very quickly. They can't do head-to-head for very long. The images coming out of that will be heartbreaking. The last time tanks rolled through Kiev it was Nazis.

But because Russia still has nukes I'm guessing NATO and the EU aren't going to do shit. They basically need to say we're not buying anymore Russian oil or gas. That is a real sanction. That also may be almost impossible but summer is approaching so solutions can be worked on.

I guess this is a lesson for all countries. Develop nuclear weapons. You won't be attacked if you have them. And you can attack other countries and people will be scared to stop you because you have nukes.

But NATO won't intervene, Putin's hiding behind his nukes.

And yes, this certainly inspires any country that is paranoid to acquire nukes. I bet Ukraine is not happy with having given theirs up.

Every decent nation should be developing nukes ASAP. This applies to counties like Germany, Japan, and South Korea. If you don't have nukes you'll have a big superpower start invading you, and then threaten to nuke anyone who gets involved.
