When the chips are down, just another one of the warriors. The Ukrainians are really stepping up to the plate giving us hero imagery. And that's not to minimize it -- like the guards of Snake Island, they are dying to make their mark. But unlike a lot of people in history, they are using their sacrifices very effectively in this media-driven world. The Ghost of Kyiv is already known around the world. And the fact that Russia hasn't managed to put them down yet is a major embarrassment. This wasn't supposed to be a fair fight, but it's looking more and more like a Rocky franchise. They just might pull it off, and even if they don't everyone will hate their conquerors.
