3 Hours on OSINT and Here's some things that look to be true about Ukraine war
- Ukraine is NO DOUBT winning the world wide social media message. Putler is now the international name for Putin and Russian people know about what's happening in their name and the economic hell that's coming. Zelensky is a folk hero and Benedict Donald's Pimp is the asshole, pretty black and white picture of who's on the wrong side.
- Russia does NOT have complete air superiority (verified by Pentagon) and no established air operations inside UKR or no safe LZ for mass resupply. This is PART of what's slowing RU forces down
- Russia has half naked to fully naked supply lines and those lines are being hit. The tactic is to let the tanks roll by then UKR forces attack Russian fuel, food and logistics resources. It looks like that is working who knows how long seeing we've only seen 1/3 or RU forces in the area.
- There are too many videos and translations etc of captured RU troops where the RU troops don't know what's going on or don't know even the slither of the picture. The one-sided nature of videos makes people want to see what the Russian troops are seeing of captured UKR forces because there are too many of vids of RU Forces not knowing what day it is.
Sadly ...
- With Putler's spearhead blunted he gets frustrated and RU Forces are moving unguided missiles (without resupply mind you) to positions outside of Kyiv but not even thunder running into the city. Looks like they're going to go "Full Grozny" on Kyiv which fits Pulter's pattern in Damascus and Georgia; when things get slow murder everything moving.
EDIT: Col Vindman was on Velshy talking about the supply line stretch ... He's starting to say UKR defeat isn't a sure thing also.
I know I know, wishful thinking but the tactic is sound; UKR keeps RU from getting air control and they have a chance of putting RU into a slow "grind" with continued supply line attacks.
Why else would Putler need to call up troops from Kazakhstan?

(820 posts)Get someone else to do your dirty work. No sweat off Putler's brow. Widen the conflict. Reap the benefits of someone else's blood. Get whomever will to follow you down the path of your folly.
Thanks for your summary. I'm going to try to find out what is OSINT.

(90,335 posts)... week Putler is going to get desperate.
OS-INT is Open Source Intelligence ... stuff that's open to the Rest of the world. This is the reason I don't see another 1939 war of aggression happening without some SERIOUS blow back any longer; everyone knows what's happen and there are too many camera's in the hands of everyday citizens.
The drill down in this account is hellish but worth it

(7,835 posts)1. disloyal troops are no use, of course
2. but what if there are not enough loyal troops to keep a hold on Moscow

Thanks for this breakdown, though. Leaves me feeling a lot more optimistic this morning..

(15,278 posts)that war. The US made little to no effort to secure its supply line making it an easy target. Will never forget Rumsfeld's comment that he neither knew nor cared about logistics.

(90,335 posts)... by the US as UKR is threatened by Putler though.
Putler is in for some hell, also the whole southwestern side of UKR is free to UA force

(15,278 posts)especially to someone who worked in supply and logistics. As I remember it, Rumsfeld just thought the US superior air power and military was enough to overpower Iraq (it was) and that would be that.
