....further talks and diplomatic efforts to avoid war. Biden knew the invasion was coming and that's all he talked about, knowing that it really made no difference. This must have just driven Putin batshit crazy as it kept the focus on Russia as the bad actor, him in particular.
I think that's why his demeanor now seems so unhinged.

it certainly seemed as if they had broken the Russian's encrypted communications links. The details and timing were often way too precise to be coincidence or conjecture.

with the focus on preventing the war and with less regard for how he would look in this.
By coming out early and exposing that Putin had already made the decision to invade Ukraine, Biden denied Putin the possibility to come up with any lie to justify the war after the fact. There was no way for Putin to win the international PR war anymore. The decision had already been made and Biden made sure that everyone knew that Putin was the aggressor.

The only way Putin could have come out on top would be if he hadn't invaded Ukraine or if he had at least stopped after entering those regions in the east. Then he could have made Biden eat his words. But taking that small loss would have been fine for Biden if it had prevented a war and saved Ukraine's independence.

was more about how disappointed they were that Biden didn’t give Ukraine more weapons and help before it started, especially since he knew what was going to happen. I don’t argue with people who seem to know everything.

slammed a meat cleaver into the Fox Propaganda Network and their allies, and brought the whole festering pustule of white nationalism into broader view.

Makes their whole "okay, yeah Putin's not a great guy, but, but.. White Jesus!" bullshit ring as hollow as it is.
