Mothers, wives, daughters of Russian soldiers! Take your men home. They came to a foreign land to kill innocent people, to destroy our homes. Your power is lying. The people of Ukraine meet them with weapons, not flowers. Demand from the authorities to stop the war of conquest, save your loved ones!

The talk is that Russian troops are not well trained and the moral is low. Many of them are not even aware they are moving into Ukraine to fight Ukrainians. They learn once told by Ukrainians along the roads.

They are from the area in Ukraine that supports Russia, Luhansk. One of the two areas Putin just recognized as independent.

and if these are actually putin loving Ukrainians as some are saying, then they absolutely are not POW.

which is one of the parts of Ukraine that wants to be separate from it.
