12. Sadly this underscores the limits on NATO's ability to directly support Ukraine

It demonstrates why, for example, there would inherently be a huge risk involved in NATO attempting to establish a "no fly" zone over cities in Ukraine. Even if Putin is edging toward being crazy he still knows what he is doing when it comes to making threats and brandishing his power.

However I hope that there are some inside Russia's upper military ranks who are taking note of Putin's increasingly reckless and dangerous behavior. Strong Soviet and/or Russian leaders have suddenly been deposed and/or eliminated before.
