How long will Putin stay in power?

Vote for the maximum time you think Putin has left. I’m betting 10 days.

(Too bad we can’t make this a betting pool.)

My BP has been up all day (and I always have LOW BP). I can't imagine the stress the Ukrainians are experiencing.

The oligarchs are losing money, the military is losing face, and the people are losing their fear.

Unless he gets really, really lucky - which I don't see happening - I don't think he's going to be around for much longer. I'm just not sure how it's going to end yet.

Suddenly and violently? Or the gradual fade out where we just don't hear from him for a while until we realize that he's no longer calling the shots? We'll have to wait and see, I guess.

his security has to be intense and deep.
I'm sure there are a lot of people who would like to kill him - probably more than he realizes.

I don't see him growing old gracefully. Some relative of a victim will get him.
A meat hook like Mussolini is probably closer to what he deserves.
The sooner, the better for the world.

13. I give him a week. With the invasion a disaster and the market likely crashing tomorrow...

I can very well envision a scene in which he has a meeting with his staff, which 'informs' him of their need to escort him to a secure location. He commands a lot of fear, but ultimately, the wrath of the people overwhelms Putin's might. The people are suffering losses of family, wealth, and their country is suffering worldwide condemnation. The markets are going to likely crash tomorrow, taking powerful oligarchs already hit by the sanctions down even further. So on, and so on.

I give it a week and that may be generous in my imagination. Don't think they'll kill him, that'd be too obvious in this day and age, but I do think he'd be offered up to the world as the military itself ends the war. Putin may even just die on his own; there have been multiple observations by informed sources of his acting very strangely and even looking different.

The only thing I don't want is for the military to withdraw and then take power. The Russian people have marched during this war against their own government at great risk to themselves, for their families and to show the world that the Russian people are not backing this travesty. With any luck, they'll take this moment to pursue democratic representation. They have the courage.

the good life, and everyone will soon see the body counts. And they must be deeply concerned with the talk of nuclear strikes. When all the sanctions start hitting their economy and the lives of their people I think it will only be a matter of days.

If I had to put money I would say when he dies but would not be surprised if he is gone in the next few months depending on the power the Oligarchs have.
