Per the Red Cross, here's why:

Blood Services

At this time, the American Red Cross is not shipping blood products to Ukraine. The American Red Cross does not ship blood products outside the U.S. without a specific request from the U.S. Department of State, from the United Nations, or unless we have a request from affected Red Cross or Red Crescent societies abroad.

6. I try to give every 56 days....

I found out you should take at least 18mg of iron per day if you do. My iron level got too low to give at one point. They test my blood for many things and take my BP. It’s a good deal and they usually fill four small bags to help babies that need blood, the Red Cross App is really good. I encourage everyone to start if you can as there is always a demand and a shortage. I am O positive.
