The World has Had Enough

I'm not a historian other than an amateur reader of history. The closest "Okay, that's it, we need to shut this s**t down" moment I can think of is when the Austrians abandoned Napoleon. And that was on a much smaller scale.

Even then, the Swiss kept their skirts pulled aside.

History is a river, and we have been through a lot of rocky rapids lately.

But now we are in a millrace... and... just possibly... a turn in a good direction.

hopefully,
Bright

Once he is gone, I am in hopes that we never allow a criminal, autocratic dictator to take over a country again.

I hope it bodes well for doing something about the climate collapse and nuclear weapons.

Love your metaphor, tygr!

... a lot of smaller countries that don't want to be taken over can afford javelins and stingers or make their own.

The tactics used by UKR forces and civilians is going to cost Putler much greatly

And the bully is collapsing into a sniveling heap of snot and tears and bloody nose in front of the whole neighborhood.

.

I watch some channels, from time to time, because they are extremely funny.

What are the major themes, besides what is in this reply's title:

- Most are poor, and by poor, a lot are living in 3rd-world shanty shacks. Their construction codes are so shabby, they make Trump properties look well-made.

- There is a stark have & have-not disparity almost as shocking at those secured communities in Africa.

- Like Psy's Gangnum Style song, those without have immense pressure to give the illusion they have money. Now, this might be that everyone like to feel nice from time to time, but there are those who do not have two rubles to rub together buying designer clothing.

- There's a lot of lawlessness and crime that is captured in the videos, physical assaults, theft, corruption.

Taught me a new word, and I always appreciate that, thanks.

Yes, do we we dare let ourselves hope that the world is turning. What a heavy price, though, for the Ukrainians.
