$27,854.16 for surgery....no not really
Hernia surgery on Groundhog Day.
Arrived at 10:45 - left at 7:00. There were about 60 surgeries on the “tote board”
This board flipped 3 times
We discovered something was up on Jan. 13th. Contacted my PCP on Saturday the 15th via a medical portal. Her nurse called me on the 18th to tell me I was being referred to surgical. Office visit on the 25th. The next day I got a call the next day with options - surgery on Monday the 31st, Feb 2nd or the 9th. I had a dental appointment on the 9th and I wanted to get my short term disability squared away so I went with the 2nd. Downtown VCU Health (formerly MCV). Free parking.
We got the Anthem BCBS statement today.......and my preliminary statement says my share is......$125.00.
Let’s hope there wasn’t anyone out of network in the operating room. How stupid is that situation.
Nice 3” scar I got there. One more week before I can workout.
