Ukraine has a modern military, albeit considerably smaller than Russia's.

that each side in a war overcounts the opponents losses and undercounts their own. Basically every single war. Especially in real time.

that while they can't be sure, the 4000 number appears to be reasonably close. Certainly, Ukrainian losses are higher than what's being reported

(54,770 posts)3. Don't think conquering Afghanistan was that important. At this point,
Ukraine is likely important enough for Putin to kill a lot of innocent people, including young soldiers.. So far, they havent cut loose with everything except nukes. Latter is not out of question.
Hope a solution is reached.

Artillery, fighters, tanks, cruise missiles, etc. The Mujahideen in the 1980's...not so much.
