(97,937 posts)Let the GOP do it. We can do better than this.
She is a brown woman with brown hair in a brown chair at a brown podium. She is loud and proud of her color.
She wears it well.

(46,173 posts)that I love that suit. The color, the cut and I've always been fond of a longer jacket.

(2,532 posts)I noticed that immediately (as in WTH?). That color is all wrong, plus its ugly. Kamala would have been stunning in a gold suit or dress - or pretty much anything other than that outfit.

(24,906 posts)It makes her face stand out.
I reminds me of the old Mission Impossible TV show. I never notice it until I read an article in TV guide about it. In the beginning of each show there was always a scene where they had a meeting to discuss the plans for their mission. In that scene everything in the room including the actors clothing was always black, white, or a shade of gray. It made the faces stand out because that was the only thing in color. It was the cinematographer's idea.

(20,689 posts)if the VP were a man (for once, right ladies
)
and he was wearing a brown suit?
I don't think so. Why does it matter? This plays right into the male dominated republicans' bullshit that women are shallow and catty.
I vote "no", I don't really care what she's wearing.

(164,155 posts)the moment the last one ends, and the President leaves the Capitol?
By the way, what was the President going on about while we tried to decide how awful the Vice President's outfit sucked for people of our sensibilities?
Maybe next year, there will be prizes for the best State of the Union looks! Hot damn!

(1,632 posts)It was difficult to see precisely but the suit looked to be made from an exquisite shantung in a truly beautiful, sophisticated color.
I loved all the people wearing blue and yellow in solidarity with Ukraine and definitely noted the cynicism of so many Republicans deliberately wearing red in some kind of distorted act of defiance.
But, from a pure design and quality perspective, Kamala was the most elegant and well-dressed person in the room. Jill Biden and Maxine Waters looked really lovely, too! Mitch McTurtle suit was as grim and dour as his miserable personality, but the little boy with Type 1 diabetes was as spiffy as can be and Joe was impeccable as always.

(12,332 posts)Sometimes it's best to keep anti Democratic and misogynistic feelings to one's self. Why you're judging our amazing VP on her suit and looks is disgusting.
