Russia to declare martial law in either Ukraine or Russia :Ukrinform.net

https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-ato/3418415-on-march-4-russia-set-to-impose-martial-law-ukraines-nsdc-secretary.html

This article is unclear.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, has confirmed earlier reports that from March 4, the Russian Federation intends to impose martial law across the country.
The statement came as Danilov was speaking on the air of Ukraine 24 TV, answering questions about the possible application for martial law in Russia.

"First, this is the data available to our intelligence that from March 4, the Russian Federation is set to indeed impose martial law in the country. I’d like to see how Moscow and St. Petersburg, where there’s a lot of intellegenzia, will react to this, as they understand what is happening in the Russian Federation. Today, if Putin lacks cannon fodder, he can take children he’s drafting into the army to deploy here, into our meat grinder. I don't understand why he’s doing this," Danilov stressed.

He also noted that many Russians who hold positions in government don’t understand what is going on in Putin's head.

not the Ukraine and I don't know if it's good or bad. Tells me things there are spiraling downward rapidly, yet I don't wanna take joy in anyone's misery: this time the Russian people. If true, Putin keeps digging a hole for himself bigger and bigger. He's trashed the Ukraine for no good reason and now he's imploding his own country. On a roll for sure.

of her friend who was trying to flee Moscow.
She said all transport is down, no planes flying, no Mac ATMs working.
She said swat teams roamed the city.
No runs to McDonalds for fear you’d be nabbed.

Things are quite dire there I’m sure.

Between this and the sporadic reporting of in-country protests (as well as the imprisonment of the protesters) and the few stories of soldiers doing their best not to engage the Ukrainians, it shows signs of Putin's grip over the nation being loosened against his will.

If Putin loses the goodwill and patience of his countrymen, it's over.

Martial law may be introduced in Russia on March 4 – Podoliak
1 min read

On March 4, martial law may be introduced in the Russian Federation, adviser to the President's Office head Mykhailo Podoliak believes.

"On March 4, both chambers of the Russian parliament will convene for an emergency extraordinary session. As I understand it, the preventive imposition of martial law in Russia is on the agenda. With a total ban on all rallies, disconnection from the outside world, large-scale food and financial restrictions. The evacuation of those who can afford it is now beginning across the country," he said on Twitter.

Mikhail Podolyak, who is the adviser to the President of Ukraine stated that he would not rule out the possibility of martial law being imposed in Russia. He shared a tweet earlier today, March 2, stating that both chambers of the Russian Parliament will meet in an emergency session on March 4, Friday. He further said that as far as he can tell, the possibility of martial law in Russia is on the table.

Earlier, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy imposed martial law and accused Russia of acting like "Nazi Germany," after Russia's President Vladimir Putin began an invasion of Ukraine last week on February 24. Before that, President Zelenskyy declared a state of emergency, allowing authorities to restrict mobility, halt gatherings, and prohibit political parties and organisations in the interests of national security and public order.
