We were in agreement that Putin needs to be taken out and American govt knows where he is, they know where most of the enemies are. Stop him NOW! I bet Putin's cronies would be relieved, at least in private.

We don't do much of that.

We can, on occasion. (Vide OBL.)

But talking about "obliterating" a dictator with nuclear capability is a poor strategy.

Better strategy: Get his own people to repudiate and disempower him.

Whatever that takes.

helpfully,
Bright

However, we don't think like he does. Meaning we won't bomb the whole country just to take him out.

We're awash in conflicting intelligence.

Better render all four sites uninhabitable, just to make sure.

I believe there may come a time, after we have learned whatever terrible lesson is coming, that future generations will think it prudent to quickly extinguish men like this one.

'National Interest' and 'Not Our Purview' and 'Sensible Negotiation' are all well and good until a man attacks others under the cover of a weapon of mass destruction. That act should be met with as immediate and complete a reaction as possible.

I hope the Russians themselves end this. But as the body count rises and then the radioactive cloud spreads -- history clearly defines what is required.
