Since they already disagree with Putin about the war, how effective will they be as soldiers? I suspect that the plan is to send them to the front lines, with little to no training. How many do you think we'll see surrendering as soon as they encounter the Ukrainian army? I would not be surprised to see them surrender without firing a shot.

criminals, etc are put in front line battalions to be canon fodder.

(15,220 posts)They will be forced to fight amongst those who are Putin loyalists. Whether they die from a bullet from a Ukrainian or they are killed by Putins forces for not fighting, it will not end well for them.
