...I am a computer consultant who never joined Facebook. I pleaded with people, friends, customers, almost anyone I could to avoid joining Facebook. I knew early on from studying what was going on with "Zuck and Co" that the probability of a weaponized propaganda platform was extremely high. It was like the gamma knife of advertising.

Not only was the data collection astonishing, but the platform's algorithm was designed to entice the user into an almost hypnotic state of dopamine addiction to the screen. The business model is built on user engagement.

You are the product.

This is true of Google, Twitter, Microsoft Windows 10, and many other "free" services. I admit to using Google a lot but I know the tradeoff I am making.

Facebook however is orders of magnitude more wicked.

Facebook is the most powerful propaganda tool ever invented. People who think they are immune, aren't.

Fuck Zuck...

You see we share, distribute, and consume news and stories based in reality, and good PR for Democrats and the Democratic party. And by not joining in you are contributing to the problem. WE COULD USE YOUR HELP.

So please stop shaming Democratic leaning Facebook users. BY DOING SO YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM, NOT THE SOLUTION.

The sad thing is, there is no will to force them to take care of their own backyard because people would mistake the inconvenience of not having the platforms as a hardship and would freak out.

Meanwhile, the behavior of the platforms, if not cleaned up, will inevitably lead to some REAL hardship.

I think this is a great idea, as in 'about time!' and posted to that effect.

And I got nailed. So many racial slurs, racist comments, stereotypes it wasn't even funny.

Most were one liners with no real content.

They were likely all trolls, with maybe only a couple of actual Americans in there.

The point is, these dirt bags get paid by Putin, Xi and other strongmen dictators to stir up our pot.

... turn out at a monument to the brave sons of the Confederacy in the town of Brandenberg, KY
on the banks of the OH River because a barge load of BLM/ANTIFA people were coming down the
OH River from Cincinnati to attack the statue.

BTW the city of Louisville & the University of Louisville gave the 2nd place trophy to Brandenberg,KY
because they didn't want the damn thing.

50. Will be interesting to see if there's a sudden drop in "Unitemized Donor" campaign contributions

Multiple donations kept just under the reportable amount, like $27, $5, $3, under $200 I believe, are listed as Unitemized Donations, & the FEC doesn't look at them.
The use of bot or stolen names (STRIPE credit card processing Peter Thiel) & prepurchased cards loaded & set to repeat small donations monthly, is now a known fact in tracing campaigns & PACS that suddenly have an astonishing amount of those "Unitemized Donors", to avoid revealing who they are from.

Will have to watch how this affects the foreign flow of campaign funding.

Btw. Facebook also has an app where one can donate to a candidate. Its in the candidate's campaign ad.
Like paypal but Facebook for Political donors.
And if one keeps their multiple donations under the limit, FEC simply lists those as Unitemized Donations & doesn't look at where or how often that low $ donation is from.

... Russian FB trolls don't log in from Russia. And bot nets are located all over the world. Dropping Russian access to FB does not stop Russian trolls.

It might stop Russian resistance from being able to organize.

Russian is blocking its OWN people from reading Facebook in Russia. It is not blocking its own cyber trolls from reaching out into the West's social media.
