Is it the sheer brass that keeps the media from reporting accurately on just how deeply the former guy is in Putin's pocket? As soon as the subject comes up again, the media start tiptoeing around like they're being tasked with proving the authenticity of the Rosetta Stone or something. Their reportage gets larded up with "maybe" and "it appears" and "we can't say for sure that this is exactly what it looks like."
