Ron Johnson says GOP should have plan ready for repealing Obamacare

By Josh Israel -March 7, 2022 3:19 PM

The Wisconsin Republican senator said the party needs to be ready to 'make good on what we established as our priorities.'

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) said Monday that if his party regains control of Congress in Washington, D.C., it will again push to take away health insurance from tens of millions of Americans.

In an interview with the right-wing website Breitbart — first flagged by the progressive research group American Bridge 21st Century — Johnson was asked what Republicans would do if they win back the majority in the November 2022 midterms.

The second-term Republican replied by noting that as long as President Joe Biden is in the White House, they will be unable to pass much legislation — but could use the next two years "to stop any further slouching toward Gomorrah," a reference to the late extreme right-wing jurist Robert Bork's 1996 book blaming the decline of America on liberalism, and "any future slide toward socialism."

And the only reason he wants to repeal it is to get back at the Black guy.

This punk isn’t qualified to run the night shift of a convenience store let alone be a senator.

How many years has it been now and republicans still haven't come up with a plan to do that...12 and counting.

They're the party of white, male grievance and wedge issues. They don't have any real ideas that benefit society as that's not their concern. Being in power is, and apparently he doesn't know how that works because even if they somehow cobble up a plan and get it though the House and Senate (highly doubtful), does he actually thing Joe Biden will sigh such a bill into law?

She refuses to change her voter registration specifically so she can help vote him out of office. Besides, she thinks their votes have more power in Wisconsin right now.

Boring and pathetic. What does the GQP propose? Nothing but reduce taxes on the rich, keep immigrants out (by building an expensive wall that doesn't work, ever), keep minorities in the gutter, fuck climate change/more oil drilling, etc. It is really boring having the same failed agenda for 40 years. The party of rich, white old men is pathetic.
