Putin has grossly under estimated the tenacity of the Ukrainian people staying to fight for their country. But they are not the Mujahedeen(future Taliban) of Afghanistan, but a proud people who have tasted freedom, prosperity, governance, and a culture all of their own.

Russia apparently did not learn its lesson from the 10 years they were in Afghanistan. The glory days of the Soviet Union are dead. The rest of Eastern Europe is taking notice knowing they could be next. Moldova is on Russia's list.
