In the world I grew up in, a whole lot of things were not "nice".

The smell of outhouses and overflowing septic tanks was not nice.

Seeing the blood squirt from the neck of a chicken which had just had its head chopped off was not nice.

Overhearing adults talk about those who lived in my neighborhood as "south of the tracks trash" was not nice.

Seeing people you loved die because they were too poor to pay for medicine or surgery was not nice.

Seeing classmates with blackened rotted teeth was not nice.

"Not nice" was a part of life for nearly everyone I knew and on the playground, there were times when you had to either choose to be "not nice" or run like hell. There was always a new crop of bullies to be dealt with. Sometimes, fighting was necessary even though you knew it was "not nice".

A puffy eye and the taste of blood in your mouth from a split lip was worth it if the other guy looked worse and ran away crying. This was how notice was given that trying to bully you would not be a painless experience.

So, all of the above is simply to provide context for this: I am totally out of "nice" in dealing with anyone who still supports Trump or seeks to "out-Trump" him.

I will not "keep my mouth shut", "let it go" or "bite my tongue" when confronted with their traitorous ignorance.

And, if they have come looking for trouble, I am ready to tell them they have sure as hell found it.

...four years of the Orange Blob moronic shit and the post election aftermath has turned me into a raving lunatic.

(Nice rant by the way.)

I'm a 73 year old woman and I'm so done with being "nice" to anyone who still is anti-vax, anti-mask, pro-GOP, racist and misogynistic. Done! There is no room in my life for anyone who tries to convince me that any of that nonsense is worth my time.

I think a lot of us are over it at this point, so you're not alone.

Living under the grace of someone else's not-so-nice mood swings, quickly becomes intolerable.

I look like Opie Taylor grown up. While Trump was in office, people would walk up to me and without even introducing themselves would start talking politics with me as though we met at the Trump rally last night.

I would stop them immediately and say "I spend hours every day on the internet researching and discussing politics. Trust me, you don't want any part of a conversation with me about the mentally deficient spoiled child you voted for." Usually they turn and walk away before I even finish that statement.

By the way, this hasn't happened since Biden was elected.
