Former President Donald Trump was flying from New Orleans back to Palm Beach when he was forced to make an emergency landing. Now, he's asking supporters to send him money.

In an email to supporters mere hours after the news broke on his travel issues, Trump was asking them to pay for Trump Force One.

"Do you remember Trump Force One?" the email asks. "Before becoming the greatest President of all time, I traveled the Country in my plane, known as Trump Force One. I have a very important update on my plane, but I need to trust that you won’t share it with anyone: my team is building a BRAND NEW Trump Force One."

According to the email, paid for by Save America JFC, the work on the plane has been "under wraps." He claims that the media doesn't know about it, which is false given the reports that he purchased a new engine for the plane and that it had to make an emergency landing last year in Nashville.

...and corroding in what is a very hostile climate for airplanes. There was talk of moving it for repainting and overhaul work, but one engine had been removed due to serious mechanical problems, and there were all sorts of obstacles to even getting the plane in the air again. There are two main problems: (1) the 757 is a white elephant with obsolete Rolls Royce engines, and (2) in the words of Otto from Repo Man, Drumpf is "a dildo who doesn't pay his bills". Here we have Drumpf once again trying to grift his fans to cover his own business expenses. Just a total cheapskate.

Even though a Falcon 900 has three engines, and while losing one is technically an emergency requiring a landing at the nearest suitable airport, he was never in any danger. His own airplane, an old B-757, was in storage but recently was able to obtain the new engine it needed, and it was briefly able to fly again. On that first flight, in November of 2021, it had return to the airport, but the nature of the problem was not reported. Apparently it is still undergoing maintenance at Chennault Airport in LA. TFG won't be able to get it back until he pays for that work (there are probably mechanics' liens on it), which might explain this round of grifting.
