I followed DUer LeftStreet's advice from my earlier thread about reuniting with my wife

I have never been this desperate in my life. China changed its rules and made my $890 layover in Taipei flight invalid for the green QR code upon arrival. They now require all flights to be direct flights into China.

The airlines are grossly inflating my flight to reunite to my wife. It's now between $5000 - $9000. My school is covering $2500 of it. I have another $1500.

It's been two years since I've seen my wife. We've delayed children. We've been rejected for her green card twice.

LeftStreet told me to setup a gofundme and I have never been this desperate in my life.

Could DU left me like you would have if my wife got her green card and I continued my run for the Arizona Legislature?

They denied her entry, forced her on a Delta flight from SEATAC to DTW, then onto a DTW flight back to Shanghai.

I did mention before that she video chatted me in the plane in Detroit with tears in her eyes, asking why they were doing this to her and that she couldn't talk long because they were watching her, then put the phone over her shoulder to show two large male CBP officers standing arms crossed, glaring at her like she was a prisoner in transit.

She never made it to Tucson. They locked her in airport jail in SEATAC, let het out 15 minutes at a time twice a day for a bathroom break for three days, and spoke anti-Chinese slurs to and about her.

When she got back to Shanghai, she asked me what a "chink" was. I asked her what she meant. She said they referred to her as the "chink with the fake husband."

Even CBP refused to let me talk to her because, as the woman said, "you can't prove you are her husband."

Look at the IR1 visa for a Green Card compared to the J1 (exchange) and the H1B green card rules here.

A Chinese "green card" is an R-visa. That is nearly impossible to get.

I am currently on a Q-visa which is a family visa. My wife is a Chinese national.

I need to switch the Q-visa to a Z-visa (which is a work visa) when I arrive, which has new rules.

As stated in various previous posts, I suspended and ending my campaign for AZ House because of the US Government. After listening to my wife sob on WeChat video chat after the second time her green card was denied by the NVC, we decided that, since the US government denied her entry once in Seattle, and then denied her green card twice, I will go back there at the conclusion of my contract here.

I was planning an $890 one way ticket on June 1st, but then China changed its rules.

Kelly - did the absolute bare minimum by emailing the "public question" email at the NVC, forwarded me their response, and hasn't returned one email or one phone call since.

In January, I was accepted into the Multicultural International Film Festival as a screenwriting finalist and a panelist. The day I was told, I asked my wife if I could go. She said "yes, but make it cheap."

I paid for the cheapest AirBNB I could find near the film festival. I paid for it out of my own account. Since I am a finalist and a panelist, I inquired as to see if I needed to purchase a ticket and was told no, I am part of the festival so therefore, one was reserved. I am staying at an AirBnB because I can go to a supermarket, buy, and cook for myself rather than go to a restaurant.

I went to Tucson yesterday to meet with my tax accountant over how to file tax returns overseas. She is on the extreme SE side of Tucson. After I had my quick meeting with her, I went to Hughes Federal Credit Union and, using $10 of my own money, I setup an account where I will put everything for the trip to China to give to my school.

I then withdrew my state tax refund, the $1000 my family gave, and the $500 my assistant superintendent gave me (since his spouse is always overseas and hasn't seen his spouse for about the same amount of time as I have) and put it in the new account.

I haven't even drawn out of the GFM at all yet to put in the new account. I cannot believe this is happening to me.

As for thanking you. . .I haven't gone onto my GFM yet. But for those that did and told me, I thanked them here, and on GFM.

What else do you want from me? I'm sorry I ever listened to the DUer now. I am near complete meltdown now and all I've gotten today is "He's a fraud," "he's a liar," "I'm going to watch you so you can be arrested."

I will never ask anyone for anything again. I'm sorry you don't accept anything I say.

If not, do you have friends on it? An ex-colleague of mine just suffered a horrible accident, and her friends are having great success fund raising on social media. No one questions the GFM because everyone knows someone who knows her. Friends of family, friends of friends, friends of colleague, family of colleagues, so on. Might be a little easier if not done among strangers. And like it or not, we're all strangers.
