It's all going to come down to Virginia

When you add 3rd party candidates into the mix Virginia is not only in play, it's ground zero. Northern Virginians are a lot more politically astute and they are well aware of who is running third party. Virgil Goode is from Virginia. A lot of tech jobs in Virginia and a lot of those people will vote for libertarian Gary Johnson. Good news is Romney cancelled at least two Virginia events, one in Va Beach today and one in Richmond tomorrow.

And there are new voter ID laws in place in Virginia, too. If you don't have proper ID (doesn't have to be photo, but there are specific IDs they will accept), you will have to vote a provisional ballot, and then you have a couple of days to provide valid ID. If you don't, your vote will not be counted.

including a recent utility bill that are acceptable so it shouldn't be a problem.
I have 6 of the 9 valid ID's.

I delayed moving OUT of VA just to vote here this time around.
As of the 7th I'm free to relocate to a Blue State.

More so than say North Carolina, which I think is probably at least as important as Va if not more so.

....and money in VA, but VA is not a deal-killer for the Dems. There are many more options to win for the Dems than there are for the GOP...they have to win just about every swing state to have a chance.

Gary Johnson will probably take a few more votes from Romney. Virgil Goode could hurt Romney even more in southern Virginia.

Asshole pricks in the military who think Republicans stand for "Strong Defense". The whole area is swimming in federal jobs and jobs that feed off of federal jobs and you'll hear these same people cry and whine about "big government".

Manassas, Prince William county parts of Fairfax and Loudoun are pretty red. I'm worried about the blue areas of Arlington and Alexandria, there are some really progressive people in these two areas and they may vote for Stein just to spite everybody. When it comes to politics they tend to be elitists.

to see who puts him over the line? I can't remember last year but it seems like they called Ohio before Virginia and that was definitive-- could be the other way around this time.

All cities including those in central/western VA will go for Obama-- Charlottesville, Staunton, Roanoke, Lynchburg, Danville, Blacksburg, Martinsville, Lexington. The rural vote is shrinking as a proportion statewide so Obama might exceed his 2008 percentage in VA.

There was a small airplane criss-crossing the skies of Richmond with a banner. It had some Mitt Romney crap on it. I guess that's how he cancels an event! I think he cancelled because he probably didn't get enough ticket requests. The event was planned for Sunday and the storm is not due to hit here until Monday night.

in areas that are likely to have to contend with the storm. VP Biden canceled an event today, and I think it's the the right thing to do. Police, etc., that will have to deal with the storm need to focus on preparation, not on protection of politicians.
