Election 'Vigilante' Group Posing as County Workers, Says New Mexico's State Auditor

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/election-vigilante-group-posing-as-county-workers-says-new-mexicos-state-auditor/ar-AAV3RZw?li=BBnb7Kz

Some of those interactions have already led to complaints. Otero County officials have received 40 to 50 calls about the audit, while New Mexico’s Secretary of State has received approximately 20, the Albuquerque Paper reported earlier this month.

One Otero County woman went viral on TikTok after she recorded her interaction with NMAF canvassers who visited her house late last month.

“We are volunteers with the Otero County Commission,” an NMAF canvasser says in the clip.

“You’re with the Otero County Commission?” the TikToker asks.

“Uh-huh, and we’re just checking that—”

“You represent our commissioners?”“Yes, as volunteers,” the canvasser says.

Once again, it really confounds me just how far those MAGA idiots are willing to go for that total POS, Donald Trump. That's Trump's real "stable genius", that he has been making use of his whole life - his ability to con otherwise rational people into throwing their brains away to follow him. I remember how, around election time, those macho MAGAts would get in their big pickup trucks, flying their black Trump flags and barrel down the highway in an arrogant and menacing manner. I thought we were through with all that crap.

The rest of the state is still sane - politically at least.

The most Democratic part of the state - they were driving on the Turquoise Trail between Albuquerque and Santa Fe!

Any impersonation of a government worker or official position with government needs to be a felony. Stoo messing around with these idiots.

no one needs to reveal how they voted. EVER.

(One might even want to edit that to say "especially if it's a government official, no one needs to reveal how they voted. EVER." )

The proper response is:

"Information about who lives in this home is on record w/ the town clerk/county clerk. The same is true about the voter registration(s) of those who live here. The clerk also has information about who voted and when. All of that information is public and you are free to access it. If you have any evidence that someone in this home falsified census information or voted illegally, bring it to a judge and get a warrant to compel us to comply with your requests. Otherwise, go away."
