(5,246 posts)American Generals tend to lead from the rear, at least since the Korean War. So, are Russian Generals at the front line with their troops?

(20,051 posts)Foolishly they destroyed most of the towers and now cannot communicate from the rear and have had to move up to get orders out. Also, there's some mention of bad morale and troops needing a firmer hand.

(9,950 posts)The Russians fought defense for most of the War and their Generals needed to be at the front to best determined which points to feed the Red Army into the wood chipper.
