Roger Stone unveils a doozy of a plan to install Donald Trump as president

https://www.alternet.org/2022/03/roger-stone-install-donald-trump/

First, Stone expects the House of Representatives to elect Trump as its Speaker if they retake control of the lower congressional chamber in this year's midterm elections. This is permitted in the United States Constitution. Literally, anybody whom a majority of the House chooses can hold the gavel as long as they meet the basic qualifications for getting elected, which in the House is any citizen 25 years of age and up.

Next, Stone predicts that Biden's Cabinet will invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him from office. Over what, he did not say.

In the final stage, according to Stone, Congress will impeach and remove Vice President Kamala Harris for refusing to promote ivermectin, a deworming medication used in horses, as an effective treatment against COVID-19. It is not.

1. Why the fuck would Biden's Cabinet invoke the 25th A? That doesn't even make sense, and,

2. I guess that Stone forgot that it takes a 2/3rds majority of Senators to convict and remove VP Harris, which clearly isn't going to happen.

What a fucking loon.

Justice matters.

Not because I believe it will be successful. My thought is there are those who will try it.

It takes a simple majority and I think there are enough never-again-tfgs among the Republican House for it to fail. The disruption to government (which is really what they are after and owning the libs) will be quite severe.

Trump has that party pretty well cowed at the moment.

If they get a majority, there are other equally obnoxious possibilities. They could make MTG speaker - it'd be about the same difference.

I assure you, a 2023 House will make hearings into voter fraud, criminal investigation of Anthony Fauci. And impeachment their first priorities. This will mean not a meaningful thing will get done for two years. Unclear how the voters will react. Clinton and Obama both got more popular after their first midterm bloodbaths. So did Reagan.

into the line of succession at either 3 (Speaker) or 4 (Pro Temp), would Pelosi (if it is 4), Biden and Harris then be in physical danger? I remember prior to the swearing in and seating of the Georgia Senators, I thought that political assassination(s) was a possibility.

Stone may be saying 25th Amendment and impeachment, but his followers are thinking the above.

It's going to become the no-confidence vote, which was never the intended use. Nixon and Trump should have been removed, and (although I liked him and voted for him twice) I can make the argument that Bill Clinton should have been removed as well (he lied to a grand jury).

I think Stones calculus is if Biden passes on or becomes incapacitated, they could try to vote out Harris. In the Trump world, it is widely assumed that everyone despises Harris, so they figure this won't be a problem.

McCarthy is a powerful warrior for the constitution and with his steel backbone, will fight for what’s right, his earned rightful place as speaker. He would fight tirelessly for that leadership role, as the amazing leader he is. Also, Trump loves him and Trump’s loyalty to his people would never allow him to belittle Kevin in such an evil way. Just not how trump treats his warriors. That I can tell you. Believe me.
