Cuomo on his future: 'I have a lot of options open, and I'm considering them'

Politico

NEW YORK — Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo continued his attempt at a comeback tour Thursday, laying out his own state budget priorities even though he’s out of office and denouncing what he continues to call a cancel culture that led him to resign in August amid sexual harassment allegations.

Cuomo gave an address and answered questions from the crowd for an hour at the Bronx church run by former Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr., a conservative Democrat whom the former governor often sparred with over same-sex marriage and abortion rights.

But with Cuomo looking for opportunities to tout his accomplishments and try to remake his scandal-scarred image, he accepted Diaz’s invite last week, often joking during the appearance about their differences but also their friendship.

And Cuomo continued to stoke speculation about a potential comeback, telling reporters who swarmed him after the speech that he hasn’t ruled out a return to office — or a potential run for governor.

Always refreshing to see Democrats adopt right wing rhetoric to cover their own mistakes!

I doubt he would even have the support of many New York DUer's, if he ran for Governor.

Now, if he were repub, then he might stand a good chance, because forgiving their own for being disgusting is kind of their brand.

7. Sure, They Have Little Respect For Women

It's PATHETIC that they still have a large % of women who will vote for them, and even many who hold office proudly as repub.

But the bottom line is, they reward disgusting behavior, and lawlessness in general. They'd see to it that Cuomo was vindicated, and then champion him as a defender of whatever Bullshit they were spinning that week/month/year.

His moral character shortcomings would be a plus for them, whereas we Democrats are embarrassed that he's one of us.

primary and campaign. And women were mansplained about 'identity politics. How about the way Elizabeth Warren was treated when she wouldn't get out of the 2020 primary?

supposedly on our side is disgusting. I would vote for him if I lived in New York. Time to show the GOP and those less than loyal 'allies' that shit won't work anymore.

As far as I know, there have been no charges filed against him, right?

But he's clearly delusional if he thinks he stands a chance at this point.

If he runs, he'll be doing it for the campaign cash and perhaps exposure. To stay in the limelight, so to speak.

But the chances he gets more than 30% in any primary, is about the same as the chance the Detroit Lions win the Super Bowl next year.

gung ho for Franken's resignation...time we stopped piling on to right-wing bullshit attacks against our folks. Had, Northam and Fairfax succumbed to right-wing attacks and the usual suspects on our side piling on, the GOP would have had Virginia in 20 which would have impacted the election. I well remember threads here saying that both Northam and Fairfax should resign. Fairfax's career was likely destroyed with accusations from a woman who refused to have her allegations investigated but only wanted to 'testify' to the legislature. She of course must be believed . While GOP sex trafficers remain in office.

I believe it was politically motivated by the right and sadly our side chimed in for political reasons.
