Point is these two republican stalwarts are delivering for their party. A party of folks that think "fightin dirty" is justified if it keeps their disqualified party in-charge.

Pathetic, but still dangerous

By Seth A. Richardson, cleveland.com
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Ohio Supreme Court’s ruling Wednesday night invalidating a third set of legislative maps placed the blame for the spate of unconstitutional maps squarely on two people: Ohio House Speaker Bob Cupp and Ohio Senate President Matt Huffman.

The 4-3 majority of the court -- written by Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor, a Republican, and Justices Melody Stewart, Jennifer Brunner and Michael Donnelly, all Democrats -- said Cupp and Huffman, both Lima Republicans, have repeatedly used the Ohio redistricting process to favor their party despite the wishes of the voters. The fallout means either a postponed or split primary that could end up costing taxpayers millions of dollars.

It's pretty clear the court is pissed at the two top republicans.

Edited to add:

Sounds like there are a few "jump ball" districts (50/50) and in every case the plan counts those districts as Democratic districts. Also the court seemed pissed that the GOP basically excluded the Dems on the commission from the process giving them the "final" map less than 2 hours before the vote. Just looking at the maps it is pretty complicated and would take far more than 2 hours to figure out what the GOP was doing.

On Republican judge is joining with the Dems on the bench. Pretty brave.

She is one of those little pieces of history that means nothing, even tomorrow, because she makes her living sponsoring lies.
