I know nothing of military hardware or weapons, but I'm guessing this is impressive?:

Wut.
Ukrainian troops in Luhansk region have managed to intercept a Tochka-U missile… with a FIM-92 Stinger.
This is confirmed.
If tomorrow they sink the Admiral Kuznetsov with a NLAW, I will be absolutely not surprised.

If the T-U is a subsonic cruise middle it's not overly impressive captain queeg Mar 2022 #2

But still, I think stingers are line of sight so it’s a Pretty impressive shot.

So I could see it locking on and hitting/detonating the warhead at the last second.

Damn lucky shot though

The SS-21 (NATO designation) is a super-sonic ballistic missile, something you typically need a Patriot or something similar to intercept. Shooting it down with a stinger is like knocking a bird out of the sky with a stone.

I mean we're talking about Zelensky's glorious civilian army here.
Nothing is impossible!
