Appreciation Thread, TheFerret/Shower Cap/John Luzar 5 years a DUer

Please take a moment to celebrate the amazing phenomenon that is our very own TheFerret on what is his five year anniversary.

I don't think I'm alone in thinking that he has been a breath of fresh air, among other things, and I wanted to let him know that we appreciate him, warts and all.



To quote him, with a twist, he is and has been...

For five glorious years, he has faithfully entertained and educated us through (while simultaneously distracting us from) our "American Maddness" with his blog.*

He describes his Shower Cap persona in an interview with Comics Experience** as

"… sort of gleefully juvenile and profane, righteously angry, kind of a “can you [expletive deleted] believe this [expletive deleted]” voice."

And I believe it's all that, but it's much, much more.

With his eloquence, his rapier wit and raw honesty he has made us laugh, lifted us up and created a patriotic landing pad for us. Like a very good friend, he's been devoted to the Democratic cause with unwavering regularity.

So, if you agree and if you're able, please take a moment to help me celebrate our five years with this special DUer. It's time.

30. I read his blog faithfully every Saturday morning. Back during the bleak

tRumpian era, I used to laugh my ass off with his hilarious depiction of those assclown years. Still reading, but a year into the Biden admin it's getting harder to laugh at the retrumplican shit heel buffoonery of the Putin party that has crawled up the collective American ass and proceeded to chew away. I'm exhausted and can't even laugh any longer.
