2. I think that's terrible.

If the reason is because lending them jets that shoot down jets is escalation, then what does it mean when they shoot down jets with weapons we already gave them? These cities are starving. It has become a serious humanitarian crisis. This overly cautious behavior is turning into homicidal negligence in my opinion.
