Just how much better would our economy be if instead of throwing trillions of

dollars to those at the top, classic trickle down theory, or put half of that into the hands of people who will spend 95% of that money just to get by?

This is the difference between the Chicago approach to economic, which has at its main tenent putting as much money into those at the top of the income pyramid and the Keynesian practice of putting as much money in the hands of the people who will spend that money.

When you get right down to it, the real choice is bubble up or trickle down.

We have tried trickle down and all we got was a little tinkling and tons of debt passed on to the middle class.

Isn't time to try the bubble up approach which was proven to work pretty good in the fifties.

The tilt to the top correlates very well with the long stagnating decline of the middle class and the prolonged economic malaise of the Reagan Bad Deal era we are still in.

it ironic that the very people who claim that WE the lower level/the bargain basement population can see clearly how and where they waste OUR money yet THEY are the ones who say we can't budget our paychecks, social security earnings or even our grocery purchases.
We buy out of season, generics, only when we need something,or perhaps grow it ourselves or buy in quantity and split with others...meanwhile they buy whatever, wherever. They take tax money and spend it like they are at a fire sale and when they run out of things to spend it on they either create a new project or stuff the excess into their own pockets.

During a 3-hour stretch Saturday afternoon, I received 11 political calls. I'm sure our phone receives similar numbers during the workweek when nobody's home. Plus, we receive a mailbox full of glossy campaign flyers every day. I promptly pitch them in the waste can.

These billions of dollars used for all of these phone calls and flyers that are ignored can certainly be spent for better use, can't they? It doesn't say much about these people's judgment on spending in my opinion. It looks like a case of where they are so obsessed with achieving a result in the election that the end justifies the means regardless of how much is spent.

However, I think the 1% won't allow it, and the rest of the sheeple will go along as they often do.

It IS a shame.
