Home Depot now the biggest corporate donor to 2020 election objectors

Boycott Home Despot!
NOW!

It has been years since I've set foot in one of their stores, and it looks like it will be decades before I do so again.

From Yahoo Finance:
Home Depot (HD) became the new leader through the end of February thanks to a surge of $140,000 last month alone. The company has now reportedly donated $265,000 in total to these lawmakers, dubbed the "Sedition Caucus" by political opponents. All told, 48 of the 147 lawmakers in this group have received money from the company’s PAC.

“No corporation can truly claim to be on the side of democracy while they throw money at the election objectors in Congress who tried to finish what violent insurrectionists started,” Accountable.US president Kyle Herrig said in a statement after the latest numbers came out.

and knowledgeable people running it. I don't need HD and only go there if I'm desperate, like at 9 p.m. and the local guy isn't open and I need a wrench or something to fix a plumbing leak.

But thanks for the reminder. It reinforces my resolve to never patronize these anti-Democratic stores.

HD spent millions trying to separate it's story from retired founder, Bernie Marcus.

His legacy of radcal right-wing activism left a stain on corporate culture.

Most major corporations (AT&T, State Farm etc) participate in ALEC...an evil cabal of corporate radicals dedicated to preserving and concentrating wealth through the maniplation of political power. Home Depot is among the worst!

As do many of my neighbors. One of the founders owns a whole bunch of property in my county and is trying to acquire more but the local won't sell to him anymore. He has a high end dude ranch close by and lots of tfg's friends and relatives go there as do some of pootie's buddies. It's really a small world for them.

11. Lowe's PAC contributed $265K to Dems, $442K to Repubs in the 2020 cycle.

Big companies tend to support Repubs because R's are perceived as supporters of business.
Local is the answer when it comes to hardware... and lumber.
The local guys have answers to questions, too. And suggestions, even.

Ever buy lumber at HD? Fucking airplane propellers... with splits and knots! Our local building materials store has actual, decent wood. Prices are higher, but when you build with shit, you end up with shit.

saying I am done with them and why. And that they will stick with that sedition caucus because that is the party that gives them the big tax breaks. And that I am telling everyone I know about their position. And SHAME ON YOU
