"What about the Nazis then? Are we no longer fighting them?"

Putin wound up his people with lies about Ukraine. He raised the stakes based on bullshit, now he’s struggling to find a way out.

The Russian leader has still not made a final decision on what he’s going to do next, and plenty of those close to him are reportedly pressuring him to go full steam ahead with the onslaught against Ukraine.

But the presidential administration is said to be concerned about how “a possible truce with Ukraine will hit Putin’s [approval] ratings.”

“The citizens were riled up by propaganda. Suppose a decision is made to stop at the territory of the Donbas. What about the Nazis then? Are we no longer fighting them? This word has been hammered into people so much that I can’t imagine how one can stop in Donbas without losing approval ratings,” one source told Meduza.

It’s like the Bible. Everyone seems to have their own definition on Nazi

When in fact Nazis are specific war criminals in Germany through 1945. It’s not white nationalists in the US.
My opinion, calling every despicable person diminishes what a Nazi is as well as the despicable deeds of today.

Horror needs its singular name to which it goes down in history.

White Supremists are not Nazis. They are White Supemists.
Proud Boys are a US hate group. That’s who they are.

Which is why his Nazi rhetoric came in for so much attention when the invasion started.

“It is a military operation with maximalist war aims, whose [ultimate] aim is regime change,” writes Michael Kofman, director of Russia studies at the CNA think tank.

US intelligence has warned that Putin aims to topple Ukraine’s government, round up prominent Ukrainians “to be killed or sent to camps,” and install a puppet regime in Kyiv. When Putin speaks of “de-Nazification” and “bringing [Ukrainians] to justice,” this is exactly what he means.

Not saying that Ukraine has any at all but I once heard the same argument you gave from a right winger.

In what context was that statement.

Would you happen to a specific link to that statement?

The right winger who made it was on another forum. Just letting you know that is a common defense of calling someone a nazi from right wingers. No harm meant at all.

The reality is... Nazis disappeared in 1945. At most, former Nazis lived into their 80's or 90's...

Everything left over is a neo-nazi, white supremacist or just as asshole.

The word Nazi was first an abbreviation of the German word for "National," "NAH-tsee-oh-NAHL."
As in National Socialist: NAH-tsee-oh-NAHL Zo-tsee-ah-LIST, i.e. Hitler's political Party (the NSDAP)

You won't find too many Ukrainian chapters, no matter HOW many of their cities you raze to the ground.

The biggest concentration of Nazi-like warmongers since the Wannseekonferenz seems to be holed up in the Kremlin. Just ask for a meeting of you inner circle, have them all liquidated Stalin-style, and you will have solved your Nazi problem, with the exception of the guy in the mirror.

In case you wondered where the "Z" came from.

(No, it didn't actually come from there. But it'll confuse the dullards for a few seconds.)
