Jen Psaki is amazing, and MSNBC will be lucky to get her https://politicalwire.com/2022/04/01/jen-psaki-planning-to-leave-for-msnbc-gig/

White House press secretary Jen Psaki is in exclusive talks with MSNBC to join the network after she leaves the White House around May, Axios reports.
Puck reports that Psaki also had conversations with CNN and that other networks had expressed interest in signing her.
Me.
(35,454 posts)We need her at WH
That was my first reaction too. Then I started thinking as great as she's been at the White House think how she could handle all the idiotic blasts from the right wing fools if she was on MSNBC or CNN. She has set the bench mark for the best ever person in that job and whoever takes over will have big shoes to fill. That said, the worst spokes person for us, is a thousand times better than those clowns shilling for the Orange evil jackass.

(53,206 posts)so I don't think this is anything new, but I would love to see her go to MSNBC once she is done working at the White House. I feel sorry for anyone who takes her place though. She will be a hard act to follow. Best White House press secretary that I can recall.

(2,851 posts)Still, it's a huge loss for the WH at this point. They're going to have outdo themselves to get a replacement as professional, polished and straight shooting as Psaki.

(53,206 posts)she has set a very high standard for others to hopefully live up to.

Rachel is coming back, though.

... Peter Doocy is a prepared, focused, deliberate, divisive, destructive, calculated, anti-American, anti-democracy, propaganda-pushing, Putin-fluffing, pomaded, pencil-necked, little Fox News neo-nazi.

(1,884 posts)She lands, her ratings will be thru the roof. As valuable as she has been at the White House she may turn out to be even more valuable on a major network hoping to get out the vote the next go around and to keep the independents shored up which we will need coming up for the midterms.

I wonder how she felt when Trump was installed by the Russians as his campaigned helped them and
the Republican leadership was fully aware of Putin & Company's actions.

I cannot remember a better press Secretary, besides Sean Spicer...I'm kidding about Sean Spicer, period!!!
Seriously, the country and the World need her in her current post. I am not saying Biden will not find a good replacement, but these are very big shoes to fill.
I am sad to know she is leaving in May.

Psaki has not officially signed a contract with the progressive cable news network, but the talks are in the advanced stages, the people said.
Axios, which first broke the news, reported that Psaki will host a show for NBC's streaming platform Peacock. She will also appear on MSNBC's shows.
MSNBC declined to comment.
A White House official declined to confirm Psaki's future plans. But the official said, "Jen is here and working hard every day on behalf of the President to get you the answers to the questions that you have, and that's where her focus is."
Multiple television networks expressed interest in hiring Psaki, according to one of the people who spoke to CNN.
