Challenge: Add one thing that you appreciate his having done. I'll start:
In the face of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, President Biden has rallied and unified NATO nations to stand together and cooperate in sanctioning Putin, Russia, and the oligarchs, and in supplying Ukraine with defensive weapons and support.

At the end of 2020 vaccination was clearly being set up as a spoils system and Biden/Harris quickly shut down that noise.
Thanks, Joe!

(34,644 posts)No incessant self-aggrandizement. No daily, idiotic PR stunts. No constant fear that he's going to say or do something stupid, cruel and heinous. No need to ask every morning, "What fresh hell awaits us today?"

And Biden had the guts to finally withdraw us from Afghanistan. We are no longer at war anywhere.

(71,584 posts)The Republicans view the Presidency as an opportunity for self-aggrandizement, instead of service to the nation.
Joe Biden has reminded us that the President is the servant of the people. And he fills the office admirably.

He does this knowing that he will be criticized and is not deterred from doing the right thing, despite critics.
But, he also listens and makes changes when it is warranted.
This takes knowledge, wisdom from experience, the ability to synthesize information, and the ability to listen to knowledgeable people in their areas of expertise.
In other words, he has the qualities of a good leader and also connects with "the people."

He has brought dignity and decency back to the White House.
Thank you President Joe Biden!

(12,168 posts)There is nothing about him I dislike, or disapprove of, and MUCH that has surprised me. He is much more decisive than I had feared before he took office, and, even though none of them would admit it, much sharper than the opposition gave him credit for.

I know that many little ones go to bed with fear and anxiety when they hear stuff on tv and dont understand.
Joe understands this, has lived it.

And on and on.
To me, he embodies someone whose heart is tuned to service out of love (for God, for neighbor, for country), and that service includes lifting up those who have been left out of having a seat at the table.

(8,028 posts)My addition may be similar to yours, but I truly appreciate how he has stood up to Putin, & not kissed his ass like TFG did.
I also appreciate how he genuinely cares about the American people, all of us, not just a minority who "comprise his base."

(5,126 posts)Much of what President Biden has been doing is moving the huge stone of 45 up the hill every day and trying at the same time to actually get other things done. It's like watching a firefighter during fire season in California go out every day and put out brush fires then have people saying, "But what else have you done?" What about all those cats in trees?
My greatest respect is in regards to Covid. He's worked to get as many people vaccinated as soon as possible and kept funding available so people can continue to survive during this horrible time.
