The anti-abortion activist accused of storing fetal remains in her home has spent years tweeting about scouring abortion clinic grounds for fetuses and then burying them.
Lauren Handy, indicted Wednesday for allegedly blockading an abortion clinic, has not hidden her interest in creeping around abortion clinics. In a Twitter thread published in October 2020, Handy said that, by 2016, she was regularly dumpster diving at a Maryland abortion clinic to retrieve fetuses for a proper burial.

(2,113 posts)So the question remains, how tf did she get her hands on (at least) 5 aborted fetuses? The creep factor on this whole thing is off the scale.
Thx, WA-03 Dem!

(102,358 posts)(especially one with human remains) would not treat the surgical biologic matter as the biohazards that they are. For many decades, now... Not buying it. It is illegal to even dispose of animal remains (dumpster) in such a manner. Some corrupted funeral homes, maybe, but horrible (and LYING) only begin to describe her.

(5,534 posts)Medical waste is highly regulated and I don't believe for one second that an abortion clinic would run afoul of those rules by using a dumpster. If for no other reason to keep people like this away from them.

(33,198 posts)The federalist society, and former clerk to Ginnis justice, BTW) were obtained during an armed raid on a DC clinic.

(2,520 posts)Sounds like the clinic isn't handling medical waste properly.
Facilities I've worked at either incinerated it on site or specifically bagged it for sterilization or incineration off site at a dedicated facility. Items thrown into a dumpster could breed germs and become a really bad biohazard situation.
Biohazard material was bagged and held securely inside until picked up.

(90,793 posts)Seriously. A movement that intentionally assassinates doctors and maims clinic workers is not going to be stopped by a little thing like lying in their holy cause.
Post 6 says there was an armed raid on a clinic.

She obtained them illegally.

This also brings up another question, which land are they on and who officiated over their burial rites?
Are they in marked graves or unmarked graves?

(33,198 posts)Expect to see a righteous explosion of wrath from the true believers of biblical proportions about interring the un-baptized in consecrated ground.
At that point dealing with the Feds will be the least of their worries.
