The Saudis had doubts about investing with Jared Kushner, but did it anyway.

Six months after leaving the White House, Jared Kushner secured a $2 billion investment from a fund led by the Saudi crown prince, a close ally during the Trump administration, despite objections from the fund’s advisers about the merits of the deal.

A panel that screens investments for the main Saudi sovereign wealth fund cited concerns about the proposed deal with Mr. Kushner’s newly formed private equity firm, Affinity Partners, previously undisclosed documents show.

Those objections included: “the inexperience of the Affinity Fund management”; the possibility that the kingdom would be responsible for “the bulk of the investment and risk”; due diligence on the fledgling firm’s operations that found them “unsatisfactory in all aspects”; a proposed asset management fee that “seems excessive”; and “public relations risks” from Mr. Kushner’s prior role as a senior adviser to his father-in-law, former President Donald J. Trump, according to minutes of the panel’s meeting last June 30.

But days later the full board of the $620 billion Public Investment Fund — led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler and a beneficiary of Mr. Kushner’s support when he worked as a White House adviser — overruled the panel.

He has attracted few other investors.

Meaning despite drumpf being out of the White House, MBS is still getting something valuable enough out of that family to make it worth it to him to flush two billion down the toilet. I’d be fascinated to know what that is.

I would not attempt to steal too much money from the Saudis. They have a way of eliminating annoying/betraying individuals who lied to them or attempt to undermine their hold upon their people and their trillions of dollars.

that Trump stole that have not been found, maybe not even looking for them. We don't know what the DOJ is or isn't doing. I do know that DOJ should have been investigating the stolen/missing documents months before getting a referral from the National Archives.

For fuck's sake DOJ waited months to investigate documents that in the wrong hands are a threat to our national security.

No damn waiting for ducks in a row or worry about discovery, DOJ should have immediately investigated this. Cue the DOJ apologists.

Oh did I mention that Christopher Wray is a member of the Federalist Society?

Does this have anything to do with Jared, who knows, who cares I guess. Oh but he testified to the select committee, not under oath.
